The main partners for the Smart Hospitality concept demonstrations are Skanska and ABB. Additionally, the space has been developed with companies such as Samsung and Oras. The demonstration platform is dynamic, and its purpose is to demonstrate new and existing smart solutions that improve the customer and employee experience in the hospitality segment. These smart solutions also support energy efficiency, profitability and, at their best, the entire industry and the local ecosystem.

SmartLab's Smart Hospitality demonstrations are part of the Finnish Hotel of Tomorrow 2.0 (FHOT 2.0) project, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The project anticipates the needs of the accommodation industry and its stakeholders while innovating their opportunities. FHOT 2.0 is a joint project between Haaga-Helia and Metropolia, implemented during the years 2024–2026.
